Value Added Due Diligence
Isn't that a contradiction in terms? Not any longer. Business Base have developed a unique added-value approach to due diligence which is founded on the principles of lean finance which we have developed over the last 5 years.
The conventional approach to due diligence is reliant on the analysis of historic accounts and using this data to justify the assumptions underpinning the projected future performance of the business.
At Business Base, we don't believe that past results determine future performance, which is why we have developed the Added-Value Due Diligence Report.
We still enusre that the financial records are robust and that assets and liabilities are properly and accurately recorded. But we also look beneath the financial data, identifying the key business processes that create value and examining both current operating levels and process capabilities. This enables us to verify the real targets and objectives necessary to deliver projected future performance and to judge how well the business is placed to meet these targets. By doing so, we create a much more informative document, with clearly identified performance drivers which can be used by the management team as well as providing added insight for external organisations.
